PPL female volunteer organizes shelves at a non-profit organization

Why I Volunteer

Whether its tutoring children, planting trees, delivering meals to seniors or even coaching little league, PPL employees find hundreds of ways to give back by giving their time each year.

It’s no secret that PPL employees are dedicated to helping out in the communities where they live and work. Last year alone they volunteered more than 20,000 hours on community service projects – building playgrounds, mentoring the STEM leaders of tomorrow and building safe nesting places for falcons, just to name a few.

We caught up with some of our volunteers during the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley’s Day of Caring event to find out why giving their time is so important. Overwhelmingly, employees shared their passion and commitment for helping lift others up comes from a personal motivation to do good and see others thrive.

Don’t take our word for it. Watch the video to see what PPL volunteers had to say.
