Electrification and efficiency.

PPL is working to make system enhancements necessary to meet electricity demand over the long term to support electrification efforts while working to use energy more efficiently.

Empowering Electric Vehicles

Electric car charging

Supercharging U.S. highways

PPL joined the National Electric Highway Coalition, which is a collaboration among electric companies that are committed to providing electric vehicle (EV) fast charging stations that will allow the public to drive EVs with confidence along major U.S. travel corridors by the end of 2023.

Helping drivers plug in

Our companies are empowering drivers to make the switch to electric vehicles. From fast charging stations to online marketplaces — we are helping drivers plug in with an EV. Some of our EV services include:

  • Installing charging stations and helping others install charging stations and connect to the grid.
  • Providing charging locators so drivers know how and where to charge up.
  • Providing resources to make buying an EV easier.
  • Offering rebates and incentives to help customers save while making the switch.
