Brighter Futures Scholarships.

At PPL, we believe vibrant, prosperous communities need educated residents who are ready to tackle today’s problems and find solutions for the future. We believe expanding access to high-quality education benefits society and creates opportunities for a better life.

Investing in Students

The PPL Foundation will award $1 million over the next decade through the Powering a Brighter Future Scholarship program, which aims to advance diversity, equity and inclusion, and attract more women and minorities to careers in engineering, information technology, and tech and trade roles.

Scholar Spotlight: Mandy Liu

“As a first-generation college student, being able to attend college and carry on the hopes of my family is something I take pride in. At the same time, I really hope that I will be a part of the younger generation that can help bring positive change to the community that provided me with the tools to thrive. This scholarship will help me by lessening the financial burden of attending college and at the same time provide me with the motivation to continue on my journey to success.”

Mandy is a rising sophomore at Lehigh University.

Scholar Spotlight: Paige Knowles

“Thank you so much for selecting me to receive this scholarship. I am very grateful and it is definitely a huge help as I continue my education at Lehigh Carbon Community College in the Construction Management program.”

A 2022 Atlantic Coast Champions in Color Guard and Let’s Build Construction camp volunteer, Paige is also an author of a plumbing guidebook titled “Plumber Paige – Let’s Replace a Shower Head”.
