A focus on learning.

At PPL, we believe that education is vital for vibrant communities. That’s why we donate our time, our energy and our know-how to help students and teachers in our neighborhoods.

How we help.

Supporting Today’s Students

We’re preparing students to become tomorrow’s leaders. PPL champions learning through mentoring, tutoring and community school partnerships.

Inspiring Educators

We empower educators by putting resources in teachers hands that spark new ideas in the minds of students.

Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders

We prepare today’s students to become tomorrow’s leaders through career development programs, scholarships and grants.

“This is the first time I’ve ever had kids so eager to get to science class that they were running to my classroom to get started on their projects. The project brought to life scientific principles for 187 students with a real-world example that they could all see in action.”

Lori Cirucci, science teacher and content leader at Broughal Middle School, Bethlehem, Pa.

Education Improvement Tax Credits

In Pennsylvania, the state’s Education Improvement Tax Credit grant program allows PPL Electric Utilities to invest in programs that improve and enhance educational opportunities for students. PPL Electric Utilities provides support to eligible Education Improvement Organizations and Pre-K Scholarship Organizations. We do not participate in the Scholarship category of this program. We accept grant applications annually June 1 through July 15. Please note, however, that our participation in this program is dependent on state approval.

Empowering Educator Grants

PPL Foundation awards grants annually to empower educators who spark their students’ imaginations. The PPL Empowering Educators program is designed to help K-12 teachers provide hands-on learning opportunities to enhance the classroom experience and spark students’ interest in STEM
