More than 13,000 employees live and work in the communities that we serve, from bustling downtowns and urban neighborhoods to suburban communities and rolling hills of farmland. PPL provides energy via a vast power grid on more than 36,000 square miles of service territory across two continents. We understand that each region is unique, with distinct requirements to make their communities thrive.
That’s why our employees share PPL’s commitment to go beyond just keeping the lights on. Employees from the PPL family of companies around the world volunteered more than 23,000 hours last year – mentoring budding engineers, tutoring school children, cleaning up neighborhood parks and assisting veterans, among other efforts.
To help maximize our employees’ impact, PPL partners with hundreds of community organizations to improve the neighborhoods where we live and work.
Recently, we filmed a short video of one community project, in which employee volunteers helped the YMCA’s Camp Kresge in ways that only PPL can.
We appreciate the collaboration of our partners at the YMCA, who helped us document one of the many community projects we support on an ongoing basis.
