PPL employees make a difference on Giving Tuesday

Today (11/29) marks Giving Tuesday, which kicks off the charitable season when many people focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

In recognition of this day, PPL employees are banding together to make a difference with the gift of service and donation.

Activities around the company in support of Giving Tuesday include:

  • A clothing and coat drive for men, women and children in Pennsylvania
  • the Tree of Delights gift program to benefit students at Cleveland Elementary School in Allentown
  • a Toys for Tots drive in coordination with employee-led Business Resource Groups
  • a toy drive and holiday party for the children served by Casa Guadalupe in Allentown

Commitment to the community is at the core of PPL’s values. Last year PPL employees in Pennsylvania volunteered more than 15,000 hours, coaching youth sports or building homes for Habitat for Humanity, assisting homeless veterans or mentoring science fair teams, and serving on hundreds of boards throughout the region.

In addition, the company contributes more than $4 million annually to hundreds of organizations through grants and sponsorships to support nonprofit organizations throughout our service territory.

We are proud to share this video, which showcases examples of how PPL employees give back year-round across our service territory.
