For the third consecutive year, PPL has been recognized by Forbes magazine as one of America’s Best Employers.
Of the 500 large employers making the magazine’s annual list, PPL jumped 36 spots from last year to 136 and ranked ninth out of 22 utilities.
The ranking is based on how likely U.S. employees were to recommend their company as a place to work. PPL’s ranking includes survey respondents from PPL’s companies in Pennsylvania and Kentucky.
“This honor is a testament to the strong relationships that employees have built with their managers and coworkers, and the pride they have in working for the company,” said Tom Lynch, Chief Human Resources Officer for PPL. “These relationships are the cornerstone to our future success and we are committed to maintaining a workplace that nurtures productive relationships in a diverse and inclusive atmosphere.”
PPL maintains a consistent focus on engaging and developing employees by encouraging innovation and by fostering an inclusive workplace. PPL values all levels of employees and appreciates the value that multiple perspectives, backgrounds and experience adds to the organization. This range of thought makes for a great place to develop a career and leads to even better performance for our company.
“We recognize that our success starts with PPL employees. It is their commitment and dedication that has allowed us to excel in customer satisfaction, safety and reliability,” said Lynch. “It is only together that we can continue to grow PPL.”
The survey asked more than 30,000 U.S. workers employed by companies with more than 5,000 staff members how likely they were to recommend their employer to others. They also were asked to recommend companies other than their own. Employees were contacted anonymously online, and their employers were not involved.
