In honor of our 100th anniversary, PPL will recognize nonprofit workers who are transforming their communities through the work they do to improve education outcomes and make our communities vibrant and sustainable.
Ten Bright Lights grants of $10,000 will be awarded to nonprofit agencies to help illuminate the outstanding contributions of individuals working to create a better world.
To help shine a light on the inspiring work being done in our communities by employees of nonprofit agencies, nominate a Bright Light honoree to be considered for recognition. Nominations will be accepted through April 30, 2020.
Submissions will be reviewed by an advisory committee based on a variety of criteria including impact, innovation, inspiration and dedication.
The award honorees will be announced in September 2020.
Residents of the 29 counties in Pennsylvania served by PPL Electric Utilities are eligible to nominate an honoree for the Bright Lights program. Grants will be awarded to recognize residents of the 29 counties in Pennsylvania served by PPL Electric Utilities who are employed by a nonprofit agency aligned with the mission of the PPL Foundation. Any resident of the 29 counties in Pennsylvania served by PPL Electric Utilities who is employed by a nonprofit agency aligned with PPL Foundation’s mission.
How do you decide which nominees will be honored?
A committee will judge each eligible entry based on the following criteria.
If my nominee is selected as a Bright Light honoree, what happens next?
PPL Foundation will donate $10,000 to the Bright Light honoree’s nonprofit organization. Honorees and their respective nonprofit organizations will be notified in September 2020.
