Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI)
NEI is an industry organization made up of nearly 300 members worldwide for the purpose of shaping national policy for the beneficial uses of nuclear energy and related technologies. Site includes nuclear energy basics; plant information; fact sheets on nuclear energy topics; public perception archive; nuclear technology milestones; information on how nuclear plants work, radiation and nuclear waste; a news room covering legislative issues, executive testimonies and speeches, fact sheets and policy briefs; industry position statements; and a guide to nuclear experts by topic and by geography.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
The NRC is an independent agency established to protect the public health and safety, the common defense and security, and the environment in the use of nuclear materials in the United States. It oversees the regulation of commercial nuclear power reactors; nonpower research, test and training reactors; fuel cycle facilities; medical, academic and industrial uses of nuclear materials; and the transport, storage and disposal of nuclear materials and waste. Site includes a database of U.S. nuclear plants (plant-specific statistics, design, system characteristics and emergency response information), daily plant activity reports, a reference library, and technical fact sheets and backgrounders on various regulatory topics.

Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA)
PEMA is a state agency charged with the management and coordination of the Commonwealth's emergency management programs. The PEMA Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program addresses Commonwealth oversight of off-site preparedness in relation to incidents at the five nuclear power plants in Pennsylvania. The site provides data on the state's nuclear plants, including plant facts, emergency drill schedules and evacuation maps.

Department of Energy (DOE)
The DOE is a leading science and technology agency whose research supports the energy security, national security and environmental quality of the United States. Site includes agency initiatives, congressional testimony, DOE news and the comprehensive electricity competition plan.

Energy Information Administration (EIA)
The EIA is a statistical agency of the U.S. Department of Energy that develops energy data, forecasts and analyses that promote understanding of energy issues on the part of business, government and the public.
