Boating

PPL Maine maintains boat launches and portage trails near its hydroelectric stations along the Penobscot and Union rivers. Ample parking is available for boat trailers or hand-carried boats, canoes or kayaks.

The watercraft season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Facilities are open during daylight hours. Please heed all warning signs and safety buoys.
