PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) has set the date of the company’s annual meeting of shareowners for Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at the Holiday Inn in Fogelsville, Pa., in Lehigh County. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. EDT.

The company also announced that the annual meeting of PPL Electric Utilities Corporation, a subsidiary of PPL Corporation, will be held at 9 a.m. EDT Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the offices of PPL Electric Utilities Corporation in downtown Allentown, Pa.

PPL Corporation, headquartered in Allentown, Pa., controls more than 11,000 megawatts of generating capacity in the United States, sells energy in key U.S. markets and delivers electricity to about 4 million customers in Pennsylvania and the United Kingdom.
