This year’s National Trails Day theme, "Trails and Health — A Natural Connection," relates trail activities to improved health. National Trails Day is a great time to start a physical fitness program that can continue throughout the summer. Get your family out of the house to spend some time exploring the natural life that surrounds us. You may even learn something about science and the environment along the trails.
All of the National Trails Day hikes at PPL’s facilities are free and open to the public. Advance registration is not required.
PPL is hosting the hikes as part of PPL Project Earth, an initiative through which the company educates the public about energy resources and the environment. For more information and directions to these National Trails Day events, check the PPL Web site at www.pplprojectearth.com or call 1-800-354-8383.
