PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) has set the company's annual meeting of shareowners for Friday, April 23, 2004, at Lehigh University's Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pa. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. (EDT).

The company also has announced that the annual meeting of PPL Electric Utilities Corporation, a subsidiary of PPL Corporation, will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at 8 a.m. (EDT) at the offices of PPL Electric Utilities Corporation in downtown Allentown, Pa.

PPL Corporation, headquartered in Allentown, Pa., controls nearly 11,500 megawatts of generating capacity in the United States, sells energy in key U.S. markets, and delivers electricity to customers in Pennsylvania, the United Kingdom and Latin America.
