PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) plans to release its consolidated third-quarter 2001 earnings results before the stock market opens on Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Following the release of its third-quarter earnings results, the company invites interested parties to listen to the live Internet Webcast of management’s conference call with financial analysts at 9 a.m. (EDT) on Wednesday, Oct. 24. The presentation will cover third-quarter earnings results and also provide a general business outlook.

William F. Hecht, PPL chairman, president and chief executive officer, and John R. Biggar, executive vice president and chief financial officer, will conduct the analyst call, which will be available online live, in audio format, on PPL’s Internet Web site at www.pplweb.com.
