Businesses in Upper Bucks Can Save on Electricity Bills Through Chamber Agreement with PP&L EnergyPlus

Upper Bucks County businesses may be able to pay less for electricity now that the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce has endorsed PP&L EnergyPlus as the preferred supplier for its members.

Through the POWERFUL PartnersTM program of PP&L EnergyPlus, eligible upper Bucks businesses can get a competitive, locked-in price for electricity.

"The program name - POWERFUL Partners - says it all," said Teri Ceraso, executive director of the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce. "We are always looking for partnerships that help our members. This program gives members the opportunity to save money on electricity and support the chamber as well."

The Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce has 750 members.

POWERFUL Partners is available to Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce members except those who are customers of the borough of Quakertown's municipal utility. Under Pennsylvania's Electric Choice program, municipal utility customers in Quakertown may not yet shop for an alternate energy supplier.

PP&L EnergyPlus designed POWERFUL Partners specifically for business groups and associations to simplify electric choice for participating members.

Businesses that sign up for the program will receive their electricity supply from PP&L EnergyPlus, a company that understands the energy needs of businesses and is a leader in Pennsylvania's competitive electricity market.

"The Pennsylvania state chamber has endorsed PP&L EnergyPlus and our member services committee concluded that POWERFUL Partners is an excellent benefit to offer our members," Ceraso said.

"POWERFUL Partners has provided opportunities for small businesses across Pennsylvania, from Bucks County to Erie and many places in between, to save money on their electric bills," said Larry De Simone, president of PP&L EnergyPlus.

"We've taken the guesswork out of Electric Choice by enabling small businesses to take advantage of the buying power of their chamber of commerce to get a lower electricity price than they might be able to get on their own," he added.

Groups and associations representing more than 10,000 Pennsylvania businesses have endorsed PP&L EnergyPlus as the company that provides the most benefits for their members. Among them: the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry; chambers of commerce in Reading, York, Hazleton, Pottsville, Huntingdon, Titusville, Erie, the Pocono Mountains, Lancaster and Harrisburg; associations representing hundreds of school districts, colleges and universities; and numerous state government agencies.
