The board of directors of PPL Corp. (NYSE: PPL) has set the company's annual meeting of shareowners for Friday, April 27, 2001, at Lehigh University's Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pa. The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m.

The company also announced that the annual meeting of PPL Electric Utilities Corp., a subsidiary of PPL Corp., will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at 8:30 a.m. in the North Auditorium of PPL’s headquarters building in Allentown, Pa.
