York County Chamber of Commerce Endorses PP&L EnergyPlus — Up to 2,200 Businesses to Benefit

The York County Chamber of Commerce has joined with the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry in picking PP&L EnergyPlus as the preferred electricity supplier for its 2,200 member businesses in the York County area.

Eligible businesses will get competitive pricing on their electricity purchases through the collective buying power of the York County Chamber and the Pennsylvania Chamber. Members learned how they can benefit at the chamber's Economics Club breakfast Wednesday morning (2/24) at the Yorktowne Hotel.

The PP&L EnergyPlus POWERFUL PartnersTM program, designed especially for business groups and associations, simplifies electric choice for participating businesses.

A price guarantee and an annual rebate on electricity purchases are highlights of the program, which will be offered to member businesses by the York County Chamber.

As an added benefit, businesses that sign up will be dealing with PP&L EnergyPlus, a company that understands their needs. PP&L, Inc., has been offering attractive energy prices in eastern and central Pennsylvania for nearly 80 years. As a subsidiary of PP&L, Inc., PP&L EnergyPlus is branching out to make lower-priced energy and superior service available throughout the state.

"Now businesses in York County, Pa. can join a growing list of satisfied customers of PP&L EnergyPlus," said Larry De Simone, PP&L EnergyPlus president. "PP&L, Inc., has a long history of giving businesses the prices and service they need to be competitive, and PP&L EnergyPlus is pleased to carry forward that tradition."

Tom Donley, president of the York County Chamber, said the PP&L EnergyPlus POWERFUL Partners program is an excellent way for the chamber to add value for its members. "We're always looking for ways to help our members," he said. "POWERFUL Partners is a valuable asset to help reduce energy expenses for our member businesses."

In similar agreements, chambers of commerce in the Hazleton, Pottsville, Erie, Reading, Pocono Mountains, Lancaster and Harrisburg areas chose PP&L EnergyPlus as the preferred supplier for their combined memberships of more than 10,000 businesses.

PP&L EnergyPlus is not the same company as PP&L, Inc., the electric distribution company. PP&L EnergyPlus prices are not regulated by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. You do not have to buy electricity or other products from PP&L EnergyPlus to receive the same quality service from PP&L, Inc.
