Two additional business groups have endorsed PP&L EnergyPlus for their members, further solidifying the company's growing reputation as the energy supplier of choice for Pennsylvania business and industry.
The Capital Region Chamber of Commerce in Harrisburg has joined the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry in choosing PP&L EnergyPlus as the preferred supplier for its 1,600 member businesses in Harrisburg, Carlisle and the surrounding areas of Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties.
The Manufacturers Association of Mid-Eastern Pennsylvania has endorsed PP&L EnergyPlus for its 130 manufacturing plants in Northampton, Carbon, Luzerne and Schuylkill counties. The plants have a combined employment of 20,000.
The two groups join a rapidly expanding list of chambers of commerce, associations, government agencies, hospitals, colleges, and businesses both large and small that have chosen PP&L EnergyPlus for its competitive prices and excellent customer service.
"PP&L EnergyPlus is a company that understands the needs of business customers," said Larry De Simone, president. "PP&L, Inc. has been offering attractive energy prices in eastern and central Pennsylvania for nearly 80 years."
As a subsidiary of PP&L, Inc., PP&L EnergyPlus is branching out to make lower-priced energy and superior service available throughout the state. "PP&L Inc. has a long history of giving businesses the prices and service they need to be competitive, and PP&L EnergyPlus is pleased to carry forward that tradition," De Simone said.
Members of both the Capital Region Chamber and the Manufacturers Association will be eligible for the PP&L EnergyPlus POWERFUL PartnersTM program, designed especially for business groups and associations. It simplifies electric choice for participating businesses.
The program's price guarantee -- and an annual rebate on electricity purchases -- are substantial benefits for participating businesses.
Darlene Robbins, president of the Manufacturers Association, said the group chose PP&L EnergyPlus because it has "the right pricing" and can provide substantial benefits to the association's members.
Barbara Groce, president of the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce, said, "We did the research, and PP&L EnergyPlus is the energy supplier that provides the best value for our member businesses at the lowest cost."
Groups and associations representing more than 10,000 Pennsylvania businesses have chosen PP&L EnergyPlus as the company that provides the most benefits for their members. Among them: the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry; chambers of commerce in Hazleton, Pottsville, Erie, Pocono Mountains and Lancaster; associations representing hundreds of school districts, colleges and universities; and numerous government agencies.
