PP&L, Inc. is offering for sale 100 percent ownership interest in its four-unit coal-fired Sunbury Steam Electric Station with a combined net generating capacity of 389 megawatts. Also included in the sale are two combustion turbines with a combined capacity of about 47 megawatts.
Located on a 259-acre site on the Susquehanna River at Sunbury in Snyder County, Pennsylvania, the facilities have a total capacity of 436 megawatts.
PP&L also is offering for sale its 100 percent ownership interest in Lady Jane Collieries located near Penfield, Pennsylvania. Lady Jane is a bituminous coal processing facility which processes and loads onto trains a significant portion of the bituminous coal for Sunbury SES.
