The board of directors of PP&L Resources, Inc., has set the company's annual meeting of shareowners for Friday, April 23, 1999, at Lehigh University's Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pa.

Immediately preceding the PP&L Resources annual meeting will be the annual meeting of PP&L, Inc.
