PP&L Announces Tree Seedling Sale at Susquehanna Riverlands

PP&L, Inc.'s Susquehanna Riverlands will be one of the sites for this year's annual seedling sale hosted by the Pennsylvania Game Commission. The sale will be held Saturday, April 25, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Riverlands' large pavilion.

Packets containing five different seedling species will be available for sale at $2 each. Included will be three each of white spruce, American bittersweet, Douglas fir, Washington hawthorn and midwest crabapple. A brochure will be provided that will detail planting techniques, protection and care of the seedlings.

In addition, $3 bags of wildlife food-plot mixture and $4 bluebird nesting box kits will be available for sale.

All proceeds from the sale will help fund the Game Commission wildlife management programs for nongame species.
