PP&L to Explain Details of Customer Choice Pilot Program to Electricity Suppliers

Pennsylvania Power & Light Co. will hold a meeting Monday (9/15) in Allentown, Pa., for electricity suppliers participating in the company's customer choice pilot program.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss enrollment and reconciliation guidelines for the pilot program, which will involve up to about 61,000 PP&L customers.

PP&L is now sending communications to all the company's 1.2 million customers to encourage them to enroll in the pilot, which will begin in November and run through the end of 1998. Suppliers need to be licensed by the state Public Utility Commission to sell electricity in the pilot program.

The meeting will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at noon. PP&L personnel will be available to discuss participation guidelines and answer questions. The meeting will be held at the Allentown Hilton, Ninth and Hamilton streets.

For more information, please contact Hank Baumann, PP&L pilot program administrator, at 610-774-4052.
