Last week, Pennsylvania Power & Light Co. filed a comprehensive customer choice transition plan with the state Public Utility Commission.
The plan provides for a smooth transition from today's regulated electricity system to a marketplace in which customers will have the opportunity to choose the company that generates their electricity.
To provide reporters with an opportunity to learn more about PP&L's restructuring plan and what it would mean for customers, we are sponsoring media seminars in three locations. The seminars will be structured to provide an open exchange on the details of PP&L's plan and a glimpse of what will happen next in the customer choice transition process.
To make it easier for reporters to attend, we have scheduled the sessions in three different locations:
-- April 15, 9 a.m., in Allentown
-- April 15, 1:30 p.m., near Wilkes-Barre
-- April 16, 1:30 p.m., in Harrisburg
The sessions are expected to last about 90 minutes to 2 hours. Please call Nancy Minnich in PP&L's Corporate Communications department, (610) 774-5894, to let us know which session reporters from your organization will attend.
