PP&L Testing Holiday Lighting Decorations at Corporate Headquarters

Pennsylvania Power & Light Co. will be testing the holiday lighting decorations at its corporate headquarters during the next week or two in the late evening, early morning hours.

Testing of the lights is being done now to determine whether new parts need to be ordered and in time for the traditional holiday lighting season beginning in November, explained Facilities Management personnel.

"Also, we're considering a more cost-effective method to do the lighting and we need to test the new approach," said Chuck Lombardi, project manager in PP&L's Facilities Management Department. "Our workload commitments for the next few months also are driving us to do the testing earlier."

The holiday designs feature a tree on the east side of the building and a candle on the west side.

The lights will be turned on for the holiday season on Nov. 21.
