PP&L Offers Grants to Teachers Who Enhance Energy Education

Pennsylvania Power & Light Co. is offering grants of up to $500 to teachers for their innovative ideas about teaching energy-related lessons to their students.

The Curriculum Enrichment Project is open to teachers of all grade levels and disciplines in public and private schools throughout PP&L's service territory. This is the ninth year for the program.

Deadline for proposals is Dec. 11, 1995. Teachers may apply individually or as a group.

Winners will be selected and announced in January 1996. Winning projects are to be conducted between January and May 1996.

Information and applications have been sent to schools. Teachers who have not been notified may obtain details from Larry Sparta, PP&L's energy education coordinator, at (610) 774-6914.
