Preliminary Results of Water Sampling during High River Flows
When heavy rain caused high flows in the Delaware River beginning Oct. 8, we increased river water sampling at 13 locations between Martins Creek and Philadelphia.
Arsenic readings remained well below the current state and federal drinking water standard of 50 parts per billion, and for the most part were below even the more restrictive standards of 10 ppb in Pennsylvania and 5 ppb in New Jersey that will take effect in January.
