Hours of Operation

The PPL Lake Wallenpaupack Office, located in the lower level of the Wallenpaupack Environmental Learning Center, is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to noon and from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. The staff is available by appointment only.

Rules & Regulations

• All Pennsylvania hunting, fishing and boating laws apply and are enforced by the appropriate state agencies.
• At this time, due to liability and safety concerns, hunting is prohibited on all of PPL's property at Lake Wallenpaupack. Hunting is not permitted on the lake, at PPL's natural and recreation areas, on PPL shoreline property or on the islands.
• Pets are not allowed at any PPL recreation facilities.
• Swimming is not permitted at PPL recreation facilities.
• Camping, pets and open fires are not permitted on the four islands.
• Facilities are open during daylight hours only at the nature trails and islands.
• No alcoholic beverages are permitted anywhere at PPL recreation facilities.
• No ATVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles or other off-road motorized vehicles are permitted at PPL recreation areas and natural areas.
