PPL to pay quarterly stock dividends Jan. 1

PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) on Friday (11/20) declared a quarterly common stock dividend of $0.345 per share, payable Jan. 1, 2010, to shareowners of record as of Dec. 10, 2009. This is the company’s 256th consecutive quarterly dividend.

PPL Electric Utilities Corporation, a PPL subsidiary, on Friday also declared the following quarterly dividends on its preferred stock and preference stock, payable Jan. 1, 2010, to shareowners of record as of Dec. 10, 2009.

Pennsylvania PUC judge recommends approval of Susquehanna-Roseland project

A Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission administrative law judge Friday (11/13) recommended approval of the proposed Susquehanna-Roseland power line in Pennsylvania.

“Today’s recommendation is another important step in the PUC review process for a new transmission line that will improve the reliability of electric service for millions of people in Pennsylvania and throughout the region,” said David E. Schleicher, vice president-Transmission for PPL Electric Utilities.
