A donation to Operation HELP delivers hope, comfort and peace of mind

The long, cold winter can be difficult for many in our area. For some, it can be a struggle to stay warm. This winter, you can give the gift of comfort and hope by supporting Operation HELP.

Started by PPL Electric Utilities more than 25 years ago, Operation HELP reaches out to neighbors in need through local community agencies. Donations from customers, employees and the company help customers pay energy bills.

Operation HELP has raised $18.4 million and provided cash grants to 68,000 families. In 2008, PPL increased its corporate donation from $700,000 to $1 million.

Customers may qualify no matter what type of fuel they use to heat their home. The program helps neighbors facing tough times because of disabilities, medical expenses, the loss of a job or other reasons.

Every little bit counts, and all of the money raised goes directly toward helping families. PPL Electric Utilities does not use any of the money that’s donated to help promote the program or pay for administration costs.
