Concert series supported by PPL kicks off today

The first of 19 lunchtime music concerts sponsored by PPL and the Allentown Center City Association will be held at the Plaza at PPL Center starting at 11:45 a.m. today (5/15).

Beverly Conklin and her band BC & Bluzin’ will kick off the Thursday concerts.

The free, public concerts are part of the association’s Summer in the City program to attract more people to downtown Allentown. This is the fourth year for the lunchtime music concerts organized by the association, which is part of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.

PPL sponsors the association to help promote and enhance downtown Allentown.
