PPL's Emel group of electric distribution companies in Chile have improved their standing for three years in a row in a national ranking of customer service by the country's regulatory agency, the Supervision of Electricity and Combustibles (SEC). The Emel group of five companies exceeded the average score among electric distribution companies. One of the Emel companies, Emelectric, was first in the ranking of companies with more than 20,000 customers and showed the greatest one-year improvement. Ranking second among companies with more than 20,000 customers was another Emel affiliate, Emelat.
