Environmental Preserves
PPL maintains thousands of acres of company-owned land for public recreation and environmental education. PPL's environmental preserves share common goals: preserve the land, restore endangered species and habitats, support biodiversity and provide a place for people to learn about and enjoy nature's beauty.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission honored PPL for its support of wildlife and habitat management. Our Montour Preserve supports the activities of Pheasants Forever, a nonprofit group working to conserve small-game habitat.
Our environmental preserves received nearly 402,000 visitors in 2006.
