Recognizing the important role that communities play in the lives of Montana families, PPL has established a Montana Community Fund to partner with organizations that address quality-of-life issues in the state. In 2006, PPL awarded $200,000 to 32 organizations that are addressing issues related to education, the environment and economic development.

Since 2005, PPL has awarded $400,000 to 61 organizations that are helping people across Montana. An 18-member advisory board — of civic and business leaders as well as PPL employees — helps determine how to distribute the funds.
