Our Neighbors

PPL’s neighbors are elected officials, school teachers, fire chiefs, members of environmental and community groups, and regular folks. Some of them are our employees. They may live down the street from one of our plants, or they may be one of our 4 million electric customers internationally.

Their thoughts, their concerns and their future are important to us. And we have a responsibility to consider their needs as we make decisions. That’s why we spend so much time discussing issues with our neighbors before we take action.

Power plant advisory committees give our neighbors a place to share their ideas and concerns, and a chance to speak directly to PPL’s plant managers. These committees tackle issues like noise, water quality and traffic.

Many of our employees spend their days and nights visiting with local chambers of commerce, elected officials and conservation groups, to name a few.

At our operations around the world we take the time to listen to our neighbors. The decisions we make today will affect future generations.
