Soil Conservation Teacher Workshop

Presenters: Northampton County Conservation District Staff

This workshop will provide educators with an overview of soils and soil conservation with a focus on best management practices for land development and agriculture. Northampton County Conservation District staff, along with PPL and Martins Jacoby Watershed Association, will provide instruction, discussion and activities that educators can build on for their classrooms. Educators will be trained on the use of EnviroScape® models to enhance visual learning techniques in the classrooms. The workshop will also include field experience. Attending teachers can receive six professional development activity hours.

Advanced registration is required. Funding is provided by PPL and a state Department of Environmental Protection environmental education grant. For more information, and registration, contact the conservation district at 610-746-1971.
