Throughout the years, PPL has offered Teaching Environmental Awareness (TEA) workshops at the company’s environmental preserves in central eastern Pennsylvania. The high-quality instructional materials, presented by nationally known and well-respected professionals, have attracted educators from Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey in previous years.
Educators have chosen from a variety of workshops: Students as Observational Scientists: Learning Through Investigation, WILD About Shad, Wonderful Wetlands, Nuclear Energy Seminar, P.L.A.C.E. - People, Land and Community Education, and Healthy Waters, Healthy People, Healthy Fishing. Each workshop offered useful curriculum supplements and activity guides or materials that could be incorporated easily into a teacher's lesson plans.
If you would like to be put on our e-mail list to be informed of future TEA Workshops being held at PPL preserves, please e-mail us at pplpreserves@pplweb.com.
