Earth Day on the Plaza
Just what makes a "green" building green? What happens to all the bottles we recycle? And what is alternative energy, after all?
Find the answers to these questions and more when PPL hosts Earth Day on the Plaza from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19 at Ninth and Hamilton Streets, Allentown.
This free, outdoor event will include hands-on activities for children, informational sessions for individuals of all ages, exhibits, music and refreshments.
Visitors can learn about alternative energy sources, check out an alternative fuel vehicle, discover how recycling works and tour the Plaza at PPL Center, which is recognized nationally for its energy-saving features and environmentally friendly design.
Earth Day on the Plaza will be held rain or shine.
