Discover Lancaster County’s Wildflowers
Come learn about Lancaster County’s wildflowers with naturalist and photographer Fred Habegger during “The Wildflowers of Lancaster County” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 18 at Roddy Hall at Millersville University.
Sponsored by PPL and Millersville University as part of their environmental partnership, the program is free and preregistration is not required.
On your way to the program, make sure to stop at Shenk’s Ferry Wildlife Preserve, one of the most impressive wildflower areas in the eastern United States and certainly one of the most popular natural locations in Lancaster County.
With at least 73 species of spring wildflowers blooming from mid-March to the end of May, Earth Day is a perfect time to explore the wildlife preserve.
