Whether you want to learn more about the environment, help spruce up your community or embark on a 21st century treasure hunt, PPL offers many opportunities for you to learn, act and celebrate on Earth Day.

Throughout Pennsylvania, Maine and Montana, PPL will recognize Earth Day with activities ranging from programs at our environmental preserves to cleanups of local rivers and streams to a special community event at the Plaza at PPL Center in Allentown, Pa. Or you can explore the environment around our facilities by taking part in a geocaching adventure. Click on a link to the right for more information.

Every April we celebrate Earth Day to recognize how important it is to protect and preserve the environment. But our commitment to the environment extends beyond Earth Day.

PPL maintains more than 24,000 acres of environmental preserves around its power plants for wildlife habitat and recreation. This land is open to the public, and we offer year-round programming for all ages.

At our preserves, you can watch eagles and ospreys taking care of their young. You can stand in a sea of bluebells blanketing woodlands along the Susquehanna River or sail on miles and miles of lakes. You can explore wetlands, watch birds and more. To learn more about our preserves, click here.
