Stephen R. Russo is PPL Corporation's vice president of Human Resources and Services, with responsibility for all of PPL's human resources organization, which includes all the traditional core HR and Payroll functions. Additionally, his responsibilities include the closely aligned functions of Security and Emergency Planning, Safety, Health Services and Technical Training, as well as Corporate Facilities.

He also leads the company's Diversity Council, which brings senior management and employees together to support initiatives that advance diversity, promote inclusion and encourage individual development.

Russo has more than 30 years of human resources experience. He joined PPL in December 2006 as general manager-Human Resources and was named to his current position in October 2007.

Previously, he served as director of Human Resources Planning and Operations at USEC Inc. of Bethesda, Md., which supplies enriched uranium fuel to nuclear power plants. Before joining USEC, Russo was a vice president of Human Resources at ABB Inc. in Windsor, Conn.

Russo earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Connecticut and has completed numerous executive education courses. He serves on the board of directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Allentown.
